Take A Shower, Already!

by Meredith on February 20, 2012

I think a spider bite from two Fridays ago is ruining my life. Turns out, I’m allergic to spiders, which was news to me. Ever since I was bit in the middle of my face by the spider, I just can’t shake this constant worn-down-tired feeling.

My whole face and body broke out in a rash that looked like this:

Yummy.

I had to take giant horse pills (three times a day) that looked like this:

Yucky.

And by Friday, I was so tired (and oddly cold all the time), I called off work and stayed in bed all day, looking like this:

GAH!

On Friday afternoon, Logan decided to voice his concerns about my appearance like this:

By Saturday, I hadn’t showered in 3 days. It was a new personal best.

Shaun came out of the master bathroom on Saturday, and he said something like this:

Look, I am warming up the water for you.  There is just no nice way to say this. You stink like a dirty hobo who has been peeing on himself. You must go in there and shower.  It will make you feel a lot better. We can’t take the smell of you anymore.

Grudgingly, I took a shower.

And then I walked out of our bedroom and realized that my entire house looked like this:

We have a mom down! Mom down! She's too tired to tell us not to dump out all of our toys!

Reason #450,812 Why We Can’t Have Anything Nice: Mom’s allergic to spider bites.

Laugh out loud funny (besides the being bitten by a spider and being allergic to it, obviously, I am not heartless or a sociopath!) because it is just so real and relatable. And sadly, I feel like my house looks like that even when I am at full fighting strength! ;)

Can Logan be my junior Clinique consultant? He can tell people they need makeup and look adorable, so they won’t get mad! I LOLed at this facial expression when he said “Yeahh”. Seriously, hope you are feeling better!

I understand, I got a stomach flu twice within a two week period. I’m surprised the house didn’t fall down.

My favorite part… “Don’t you think I look pretty?”…. “Not really.” The boy’s going to need some coaching before his dating days, Mommy.

OMG! EEK! I’m a little (very) frightened about spider bites. But you look beautiful regardless!

Haha, my husband found out I didnt take a shower yesterday morning for work & when I came home he had my towel & robe conveniently waiting for me by the shower. He actually told me there was no way he was going to allow my stinky ass into the bed. Jerk face! In my defense, I lathered myself up with smelly good lotion in the morning so I didn’t really stink. I think.

Hope your rash has gone away & those damn spiders stay away from you so you dont have to torture your family with your 3 day hobo smell again :)
