Swimsuit Confidence? Oh, I’ve Got It.

by Meredith on May 21, 2012

Land’s End, Curvy Girl Guide, and SELF Magazine have partnered up this year to bring you National Swimsuit Confidence week.

Again, I am thrilled to be a part of this totally awesome campaign.

MY BFF, Brittany, is in New York City this week.  She’s the co-founder of Curvy Girl Guide,  and I am so proud of her and the amazing things she has done with the site to make the lives of everyday women better.

This week she is walking around NYC, in her swimsuit, and taking on a media blitz.  If you’d like to watch her, this is the media schedule that I know of so far:

Today: Wendy Williams Show

Tuesday: Good Morning America

Standing on the internet in my bathing suit all week is one thing, but walking around New York City and being on TV is another all together.  Good job, B.

Okay, enough putting it off.  Here it is, my 2012 swimsuit debut:

Yes, my legs are “bumpy” (according to my four-year-old). Yes, my boobs are saggy (because they’ve fed people). Yes, my nose is crooked (so I’ve tilted my head to overcompensate for that).

BUT I DON’T THINK I LOOK HALF BAD! RIGHT?!

My body has been there and done that. Humans came out of me, and that makes me PROUD of every little bump and curve I’m rocking.

I have swimsuit confidence.

You look fantastic, Meredith! I think what you are doing is great and I wish I had the confidence to do the same. Unfortunately, I’m not even close to being ready to even try on a bathing suit, let alone post pictures on the internet! lol.

I think you look FABULOUS! :) Bravo to you and maybe I will make this part of my 2013 goal list…a picture of myself (willingly) on the internet in my bathing suit. And not a wetsuit, unless that would count?? ;)

Meredith

Wetsuits don’t count. At least, I don’t think they do. But I think that is an AWESOME goal! We’re doing it again in May of 2013, and we’d love to have you join the campaign!

Meredith,
I can’t wait for everything to hit the Internet in regards to this. I am one of the breast cancer survivors who is featured in the campaign this year. I am super nervous! *Crossing fingers

I know! I was planning to come, but I ended up having to teach a class that day. Next time!

Hell yes. I applaud you & all your curvy parts.

Hi pretty! I do like you bathing suit. I wish I was brave enough to show off the “girls”. I tried on a dress this weekend and was to shy to come out of the dressing because the girls looked HUMONGOUS. Yeah I know. I have issues. Lol.

Reply

Meredith

I think my “girls” are about all I have left. If you’ve got it, flaunt it.

Reply

Tawny

Screw it. I am going back for that damn dress tonight. At least the hubby will love it.

I really love your suit! Super classy & the ‘girls’ look amazing! Rock on!

I’m super proud of you Meredith. Even without the curves, I’m plenty self-conscious in a bathing suit for my own insecurities, and I don’t know that I could do what you’re doing. It’s inspiring and something for which I’m sure ALL your fans and family are proud of you. And the picture looks great. Love the hair coming down over the shoulder :) You rock!

You’re so sweet! I’ll pay you that $20 I owe you for saying this soon.

Has Shaun told you how lucky he is recently? Because, DAMN you look good.
Are you back to blonde for good now?

Reply

Meredith

Yes! Back to blonde for now. It’s my go-to. Maybe red, but I really like blonde the best.

Deborah

I think you look gorgeous! I wish I had a figure as curvy as yours! Thank you Meredeth!

I just wanted to tell you… I like that suit on you way more than on the Land’s End model. On her, it looks kinda boring, but on you, it’s excellent.

Reply

Meredith

Can you just follow me around all day and say nice things?

Reply

Amber

Rock that suit! I dunno that I’ll ever be brave enough to put myself out there like this. Not without plastic surgery, anyway! Good job!

Meredith, Damn, Damn, Damn! Okay, I’ve expressed myself. You look great!

Reply

Katie

Oooh, you look great! Seriously.

I’m trying to work up the courage to do it, maybe this weekend if I have time to do the required primping!

Reply

DS

You look fabulous and are a rocking blond!
