I Love Madge (said in my best British accent)

Before I get started, be sure to check out Brittany & Meredith LIVE over the next two days. We’re having a big Valentine’s Day give away!

Something snapped in my brain as I watched the Super Bowl halftime show.

My Twitter stream went awry.

I couldn’t control the tweets rolling off my fingers.

See? I was so caught up in her performance that I couldn’t even wipe the butt of a three year-old.

And then my brain exploded, and I felt like I needed to take her picture.  I was going to snap her picture with my cell phone, but NO! Madonna deserves the Canon! So I got out my fancy camera and took pictures of the TV.

After I felt good about the photos of her on TV, while she was actually on my TV, I tweeted some more once the performance was over.

I called Shaun to ask him what he was thinking (you know, since he abandoned me and our children to go get drunk with his buddies).  And then I tweeted what he told me.

Looking back, I can see how ridiculous I was being on Twitter last night. BUT HER SHOW WAS RIDICULOUS! Ridiculous in a good way!

What did you think of the Madonna halftime show? It was the best one ever, right?

It was everything I expected from Madonna and from a halftime show.

Plus, a dude did a break dance on a tightrope. I mean, CRAP, that’s amazing.

I know, right?! I wonder if he does children’s birthday parties.

My seven year old takes photos of people she likes on TV.

I can’t think of anything else to comment.

PS Best half time show in at least the last 10 years.

I, too, take photos of the ‘ol telly. Like a seven-year-old.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED it (although her new song was my least favorite part). The haters can kiss my ass. And they can wipe Logan’s ass, too! Madonna can put on a freaking show!!!

YES! Send all haters to my house for butt wiping.

I prefer Madonna before she found Kaballah and when she would have shown a boob.

Despite the fact I prefer 80s, slutty Madonna, it was a good show.

Shaun? Is this you?

Eh. I was kind of half and half on the halftime show. Considering my husband was sitting next to me saying things like, “I hope she doesn’t break a hip on live tv.”

However I will say that anytime I hear Like a Prayer I get teary eyed for some reason and the Superbowl was apparently no exception.

I loved, loved, loved that halftime performance. I stood through the whole show, singing and dancing along. My daughter’s 10 year-old was looking at me like I needed to be locked up in a mental ward, but I ignored her. “Like a Prayer” was my favorite part. Amazing!

YES! I was singing, too! And then I rewound it, and sang it all again and took pictures of the TV to make my friends jealous. Do you think they are jealous?

For sure! I mean, I can tell from your pictures that you had REALLY good seats. It’s almost like she was putting on a private performance just for you!

I was kinda worried for a minute when I first heard who was performing, but then I was really impressed! She did a great job!

i didn’t like the first half where all she did was lip sync. i LOVED when she started singing live because she still has it. i mean, i get it – you dance around a lot and get out of breath singing. but i HATE hearing amazing singers lip fucking sync like that.

The show was god, I enjoyed it, but the best halftime show ever? No, not even close. The best ever, in my opinion, was The *NSYNC/Aerosmith/Britney show from 2001! http://youtu.be/_-oJKyHHxKk

YES! Best one ever!

Dude, it was AMAZING. Best halftime show I’ve ever seen, honestly. I mean, Janet’s boob was cool and all, but does anyone remember ANYTHING else about that halftime show?

Answer: They do not.

Madge killed it. No wardrobe malfunction necessary.

I’m sorry…I usually agree with you on everything…even Jesus horses…but no. Her show was no great. I gave her a 7/10 when I reviewed it on my blog. I think it was more the dancers that made the show…she couldnt really dance, or walk, in her boots. The whole performance was Cirque De Solielish. It was very lackluster and she expected everyone else to carry her. I love me some Madonna, but I did NOT like that performance. (And, her weird inner thighs when she did the cartwheels disturbed me)

My understanding was that she had a hamstring injury, which is why she was taking it easy with the walking/dancing.

I really enjoyed it. I was baking banana bread, and my husband came into the kitchen and was like, “I don’t know if you’re a Madonna fan, but the halftime show is going to start soon…”

We have been together 10 years, and he asks me if I’m a Madonna fan. I have all of her albums, and he asks me if I’m a Madonna fan. I pre-order every special edition album release, and he asks me if I’m a Madonna fan.

He doesn’t know me at all …

But yes, I loved it. I would have loved it more if my husband wasn’t sitting next to me, otherwise I would have been up, dancing around in my living room.

Totally with you Meredith! I’m tired of hearing all the haters. I even watched it again last night (of course I was trying to catch the M.I.A. finger flip this time!). And her new song? My new favorite – it helps that I was a cheerleader in h.s. and am drawn to anything with cheers (remember Gwen Steffanni’s Hollaback girls?) I really hate Madonna as a person, but her halftime show killed it!
